Openwork is Hiring – Shipping & Logistics Coordinator
Location: Port Arthur, TX
Pay: $20–$24/hour, DOE
Schedule: Full-Time
Openwork is hiring a Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to support daily shipping operations at a Port Arthur facility. This position is responsible for coordinating shipments, preparing documentation, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring DOT requirements are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate late or missed shipments with customers and Customer Service.
Prepare and email shipping paperwork, including COAs, to customers and drivers.
Weigh in/weigh out trucks and ISO containers.
Audit shipping paperwork for accuracy, completeness, and GMP compliance.
Update rejected loads and track demurrage, scheduling charges, and logistics fees.
Verify inventory and tank space availability.
Maintain placard and shipping sticker inventory.
Ensure DOT regulations are followed for each shipment.
Assist with training loaders and other administrative duties as needed.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid TWIC card is required.
DOT Certification is a plus.
Strong computer and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently.
Must be punctual, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
Must be comfortable working inside a plant environment that is not climate controlled, as well as outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Must be able to wear required FRCs (Fire-Resistant Clothing) while working in the plant.
Must be able to wear required PPE, including FRC uniform, hard hat, safety-toe boots, safety glasses, and gloves.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs.
