Shipping Department Associate – 1st Shift

Location: Bristol, CT area
Pay: $19.50–$20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Shipping Department Responsibilities

As a Shipping Department Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring shipping documentation and certifications are accurate and complete.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create packing slips, Certificates of Conformance (C of C), and certification maps

• Verify required certifications

• Link certifications to the appropriate lot when required

• Scan and link sales order packages

• Answer incoming telephone calls and relay messages as needed

• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the shipping process

• Follow all company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping practices

• Observe company processes and make recommendations for improvement

• Assist with or provide instruction to other personnel as needed

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Maintain reliable attendance — attendance is an essential function of this position

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience

• Previous manufacturing experience strongly preferred

• Good math skills

• Computer literate and comfortable working with computer systems

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
