This position closes work orders by staging, packaging, and arranging for timely deliveries of finished goods. Essential Functions Statement(s) - Verify and keep records on outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment by performing the following duties: handle distribution of materials within the establishment and place in appropriate storage locations.
- Log finished goods material out of production staging area and close work orders.
- Locate finished product in warehouse.
- Enter inventory data into Visual system.
- Compare identifying information, count, weigh and/or measure items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
- Ensure timely delivery by utilizing shipping and delivery report, customer orders and shipping orders.
- Determine best methods of shipment in terms of cost and delivery time.
- Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
- Post weights and shipping charges on shipping orders.
- Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Load trucks using forklift.

Education : High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Experience : Exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Average Micro Soft Office Suite software knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Must have previously used a manufacturing system (Visual, SAP) on a regular basis. Forklift operator certified. Ability to work with freight vendors in a professional manner. Ability to make cost-effective decisions in determining methods of shipment.
