Shipping Clerk

Location: Boca Raton, FL

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Full-Time

Position Overview

A leading manufacturer supporting the military and defense industry is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join its operations team. This role is responsible for preparing, processing, and coordinating outbound shipments while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process outgoing shipments in accordance with customer and carrier requirements.
• Verify shipment contents, quantities, and documentation for accuracy.
• Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, packing slips, and other required shipping paperwork.
• Coordinate shipments with carriers including UPS, FedEx, LTL, and freight providers.
• Package products securely to prevent damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and update inventory and ERP systems.
• Collaborate with production, inventory, and customer service teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Track shipments and assist with resolving shipping discrepancies or delivery issues.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards and shipping procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of shipping, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with shipping software, ERP systems, or inventory management systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret packing slips, customer orders, and shipping documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environment is preferred.
