Shipping Clerk - 2nd Shift
Location: Saint Petersburg, FL
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team in Saint Petersburg, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, processing, and verifying outgoing shipments to ensure customer orders are delivered accurately and on time. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment and works effectively with production, warehouse, and shipping teams to support daily operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Process and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Verify order accuracy, quantities, and shipping information before dispatch.
- Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and other required documentation.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping software to coordinate and track shipments.
- Coordinate shipments with carriers including UPS, FedEx, and USPS.
- Load, unload, move, and organize products while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and inventory transactions.
- Inspect packages to ensure quality standards and shipping requirements are met.
- Assist with receiving, inventory control, and other warehouse functions as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in shipping, warehouse, logistics, or distribution preferred.
- Experience using RF scanners and inventory management systems is a plus.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of shipping software and carrier platforms.
- Prior inventory control experience.
