Shipping Clerk – 1st Shift
Starting Pay 17.00 /hr
Hours: 7am – 4pm Monday - Friday
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Full Time Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately processing all required documentation, entering all required information accurately into the computerized systems. Shipping experience in a production environment is preferred but we are willing to train an entry-level individual. Experience with Microsoft Office Excel formulas is a must.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Process orders via the company’s software for shipping and receiving and complete necessary documentation. Communicate and work effectively with all members of the department in addition to other internal and external contacts.
- Perform various other assignments per lead person or manager direction.
- Must be a team player and work in fast pace office.
- Maintain positive attitude in stressful situations.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is essential. Must be able to multi-task.
- Basic computer skills, with strong knowledge of Excel.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- One-year basic shipping experience in a fast-paced Manufacturing environment a plus, but not required.
- Ability to identify problems, collect information, and suggest solutions.
- Can speak and understand basic English with an emphasis on complying with directions, fundamental shop safety procedures, and production standards.
- Professional communication skills, in person, on phone and through company email.
- Reading and writing skills with an emphasis on understanding and completing Shipping documentation.
- Ability to effectively communicate, present information and respond to questions from colleagues and shipping customers.
- Self- starter, dependable, energetic, with positive attitude.
- Flexible and adaptable as workload progresses.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequent standing, sitting, and use of hands in this support role is required
- Able to walk unassisted on production floor for lengthy intervals
- Occasionally perform physical activities including lifting (up to 50 lbs. unassisted)
