About the role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, packaging, labeling, and shipping outgoing products and materials. You will play a critical part in ensuring orders are shipped accurately, on time, and in excellent condition. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse or fulfillment environment.
What you'll do
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards.
- Verify shipping details such as addresses, weights, and quantities.
- Accurately print and attach shipping labels, invoices, and packing slips.
- Inspect items for damage or discrepancies before shipment.
- Use shipping software and systems (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS) to process outbound shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customer service as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping, warehouse, or logistics role preferred.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, dollies).
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching.
- Must be able to safely handle boxes, pallets, and other shipping materials.
