Shipping & Receiving Associate

Location: South Charlotte, NC
Pay: $17.50/hr
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Openwork is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Associate for a warehouse in South Charlotte. This position is responsible for receiving incoming shipments, checking products for accuracy, organizing materials, and entering information into the company system.

Job Duties

• Receive and check incoming shipments
• Compare packing slips and purchase orders to ensure orders are accurate
• Unload and organize products in the warehouse
• Label and store materials in the proper locations
• Report damaged or incorrect shipments
• Assist with inventory counts and inventory tracking
• Use RF scanners and computer systems to enter data
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized

Requirements

• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience preferred
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Experience using RF scanners is a plus
• Good attention to detail
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and move materials regularly
• Must be comfortable with repetitive heavy lifting
• Ability to safely unload and organize incoming shipments
• Comfortable working in a warehouse setting for the duration of the shift
