Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the shipping and receiving of company and customer goods and supplies
Arrange carrier pick-ups according to customer purchase orders and shipping instructions
Maintain an adequate supply of shipping materials and report defective materials or issues to the department manager
Ensure the work area and equipment are clean, orderly, and safe
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities:
Accurately sort, count, and verify items received
Maintain a basic understanding of warehouse operations and procedures
Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
Ability to quickly adapt to custom software platforms
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
Experience in a shipping and receiving environment is preferred
