Position Summary:
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, storage, and shipment of aviation materials, engines, and components in compliance with FAA regulations. Accuracy documentation, proper handing of high-value items, and timely coordination with logistics and production teams to support operational efficiency and safety. This role ensures alignment with FAA/EASA regulatory requirements while driving operational efficiency, financial performance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position partners closely with all technical departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
·         Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage or discrepancies. 
·         Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company and FAA standards. 
·         Maintain accurate inventory records and update systems to reflect material movements. 
·         Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and traceability for all materials. 
·         Handle engines, engine stands, and high-value components with care and precision. 
·         Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. 
·         Coordinate with logistics and production teams to prioritize material flow and meet operational deadlines. 
·         Photograph incoming and outgoing materials for documentation and quality assurance. 
·         Report any discrepancies, hazards, or issues to the supervisor promptly. 
 
Qualifications:
·         High school diploma or GED Required.
·         Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations; aviation experience preferred.
·         Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely (certification preferred).
·         Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
·         Proficient in inventory management systems and Microsoft office.
 
 
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
 
  • Combination of office and production floor environments.
  • Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, etc., as job may require. 
·         Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies.
  • May require occasional extended hours, weekend support, or travel to support operational needs, audits, or customer requirements.
