Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Schedule: First Shift | Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm
Pay Rate: $22–$26 per hour
Position Overview
Finish Line Staffing Services is seeking an experienced
Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support daily shipping, receiving, and inventory operations within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling materials, preparing shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials, components, and supplies, verifying quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Prepare, package, label, and document outgoing shipments.
- Coordinate shipments through UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and process transactions within an ERP system.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Organize and maintain stockroom and storage areas.
- Follow established safety procedures and support efficient warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- Previous shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Forklift experience required.
- Familiarity with packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documentation.
- Basic computer skills; ERP or inventory management system experience preferred.
- Experience with UPS, FedEx, and freight shipping preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday.
- Comfortable handling shipping materials and operating warehouse equipment.
