This position is primarily responsible to take delivery of incoming shipments of products, organize merchandise for delivery, and keep records regarding these transactions.
Receiving
Core Responsibility
- Physically receive incoming product and enter into ERP
- Segregate, document and review damaged and or non-conforming product
- Receive product into the correct bin within the warehouse and place in corresponding location
- Receive kanban parts into the ERP and stock accordingly
- Verify all necessary documentation is present at time of product receipt
Shipping
Core Responsibility
- Review customer orders to ship correct product
- Collect, package and prepare product for shipments
- Use third party shipping software to complete outgoing shipments
- Maintain ERP accuracy related to the shipment of product
- Complete shipments to outside services, as applicable
Inventory Accuracy
Secondary Responsibility
- Use First-In-First-Out (FIFO) inventory method
- Maintain Inventory accuracy through cycle counting
- Complete required material transactions in ERP
Internal Communication
Secondary Responsibility
- Resolve non-conforming material issues with internal team
- Work with customer service on shipping issues/questions
- Contact buyer/production with any material issues or discrepancies

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems.
- Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently with excellent attention-to-detail.
- Computer literate, ability to learn company software programs such as the ERP system.
- Must possess the ability to work well as a team member.
- Must be able to work under minimal supervision and must work closely with other employees in production and planning.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Have a general understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and know where they are located.
- Skill and ability to learn to operate all area equipment.
- Ability to interpret packing slips.
- Ability to fill out bills of lading.
- Familiarity with various forms used by major freight carriers.
- Ability to estimate weight, and use the information to calculate the cost of shipping.
- Must be able to work in fast paced environment with constant changes in priorities.
- High level of initiative and strong work ethic.
Qualifications:
Minimum
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse positions.
- Understanding of Manufacturing and Inventory Control.
- Experience using an ERP system and Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
- Inventory/part picking experience.
- Manufacturing experience.
- M1 ERP experience.
