Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk (Cold Storage Environment)
Location: ColdTrack Facility
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $19/hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team in a cold storage environment. This role is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring smooth communication with drivers, carriers, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process inbound and outbound shipments, verifying quantities and inspecting for damage
- Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks or forklifts while following safety procedures
- Accurately enter shipment data into warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Prepare shipping documents, labels, and manifests
- Coordinate with drivers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries
- Maintain organization of the shipping and receiving area
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits
- Follow all safety, OSHA, and food-grade handling guidelines
- Work in cold storage conditions (freezer environment) while using proper PPE
Requirements:
- Ability to speak and understand English to effectively communicate with drivers, clients, and carriers
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Excel is a plus (training provided)
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics experience preferred
- Ability to work in cold temperatures for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as needed
