Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and other documentation.
- Scan and accurately record all products entering and leaving the warehouse using the inventory management system.
- Verify quantities, part numbers, descriptions, and condition of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Label, organize, and store received materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, stage, package, secure, and prepare materials for outgoing shipments and deliveries.
- Prepare shipping labels, BOLs, packing lists, delivery receipts, and other required documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups and deliveries with drivers, freight carriers, vendors, job sites, and internal teams.
- Track shipments and follow up on delayed, missing, or damaged materials.
- Coordinate material shipments based on job-site requirements, delivery schedules, and operational priorities.
- Perform daily or every-other-day inventory counts and assist with investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Identify, track, and manage OSD (Over, Short & Damaged) products and report discrepancies.
- Manage RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) products, including receiving, documenting, tracking, and coordinating returns.
- Assist with freight claims and provide supporting documentation for damaged or missing shipments.
- Communicate damaged, missing, short, excess, or otherwise discrepant materials to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and safely handling warehouse materials.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment in accordance with safety procedures and training requirements.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe shipping, receiving, and warehouse areas.
- Follow all warehouse procedures, safety requirements, inventory control processes, and company policies.
- Perform other warehouse duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or inventory experience preferred.
- Knowledge and experience using inventory management systems.
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet shipping and receiving deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with warehouse personnel, drivers, vendors, job sites, and internal departments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle warehouse materials.
- Forklift experience or certification preferred, if applicable.
