GENERAL DESCRIPTION – PURPOSE OF ROLE:
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for accurately preparing, packaging, and shipping machine parts to customers in a timely manner. This role ensures all outgoing shipments meet quality, safety, and documentation standards, supporting efficient order fulfillment and customer satisfaction within the manufacturing operation.
Essential Functions:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Pick, pack, and prepare machine parts for shipment according to customer orders and company standards.
· Verify accuracy of shipping documents, labels, and part numbers to ensure correct and timely delivery.
· Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and efficiently as required.
· Maintain inventory accuracy through proper handling, storage, and recordkeeping.
· Abide by all workplace safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.
· Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to support smooth order fulfillment.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
· High school diploma or equivalent (required).
· Prior warehouse, shipping, or manufacturing experience preferred.
· Familiarity with shipping systems, inventory software, or ERP systems a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
The successful candidate should:
· Have the ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification desirable).
· Possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Have effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
· Be proficient in basic math.
Education Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
