Job Description

This role supports cleanroom shipping operations by operating production equipment, handling raw materials, performing visual and dimensional inspections, and preparing finished products for shipment. You will work across multiple shifts in a manufacturing environment, ensuring machines run safely and efficiently while maintaining high quality standards and accurate shipping documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Load raw materials into machines in accordance with production schedules and work instructions.
  • Start or assist with machine cycles and ensure equipment runs within defined parameters.
  • Monitor temperature, pressure, and cycle times to maintain consistent product quality.
  • Watch for jams, defects, or unusual machine behavior and respond promptly to issues.
  • Perform visual inspections for defects such as cracks, bubbles, or warping on finished parts.
  • Measure parts using gauges, hand tools, or other measurement devices to verify dimensions.
  • Separate conforming parts from scrap and handle scrap materials according to procedures.
  • Trim excess plastic from parts and ensure components meet finished specifications.
  • Assemble small components when required to complete finished products.
  • Assist with mold changes and machine changeovers after receiving proper training.
  • Clean molds, parts, and surrounding work areas to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • Package finished products according to packaging specifications and quality requirements.
  • Label packaged products accurately using BOL, ERP, and labeling systems.
  • Organize packaged products for shipment and maintain orderly staging areas.
  • Perform shipping and receiving duties, including verifying documentation and counts.
  • Move materials, finished goods, and packaging using carts or forklifts when needed.
  • Follow blueprints or production drawings to understand product requirements.
  • Use power tools and hand tools safely during production, assembly, and maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct basic inspections throughout the process and report any nonconformances.
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to support continuous improvement and efficient workflow.

Essential Skills

  • Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience.
  • Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving duties.
  • Experience using BOL (Bills of Lading), ERP systems, and labeling processes.
  • Forklift experience and ability to safely move materials and finished products.
  • Production and machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Assembly experience, including working with small components.
  • General labor skills, including material handling and basic equipment operation.
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints or production drawings.
  • Mechanical aptitude to monitor and support machine operation.
  • Proficiency using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Experience with packaging processes for finished goods.
  • Inspection skills, including visual inspection and use of gauges or measurement tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Comfort working in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to assist with mold changes and machine changeovers after training.
  • Strong attention to detail for defect detection and accurate labeling.
  • Organizational skills to stage, label, and prepare products for shipment.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility in Blue Ash, OH, supporting cleanroom shipping and production operations. The role follows a multi-shift environment with opportunities on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, and involves a contract-to-hire structure over approximately 90 days. You will work around production machinery, molds, and packaging equipment, regularly handling raw materials and finished products. The environment requires adherence to cleanroom and safety protocols, including maintaining a clean workspace and following equipment handling procedures. You will use forklifts, carts, power tools, hand tools, gauges, and inspection equipment as part of daily tasks. The role includes a one-step interview and plant tour, giving you the chance to see the facility and understand the operations before joining.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
