Job Title: Shipper Receiver
Location: Lewisville, Texas
Type: Contract To Hire
Compensation: $20.00
Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 3:00pm – 10:30pm; on occasion 2:30pm – 10:00pm;
45 hours avg per week

Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift and other equipment to receive, ship, and handle raw materials, supplies, and finished products.
  • Participate actively in the plant's SAFE Program, ensure safety policies are followed, and maintain high standards of industrial housekeeping.
  • Oversee and operate packaging equipment to ensure functions conform to process and procedure specifications.
  • Drive cultural initiatives emphasizing safety, communication, teamwork, environmental compliance, and waste elimination.
  • Pull finished products from inventory, assemble orders, and prepare for shipment per company policy and customer requests.
  • Select, pack, and wrap products for shipment.
  • Receive inbound materials including finished products and raw materials, transfer them to appropriate storage locations, and operate forklifts for loading and unloading trucks.
  • Count and examine materials for accuracy and damages, maintain records of shortages and damages, and report discrepancies.
  • Use barcode scanners to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment following company policies.
  • Perform cycle counts and manage inventory verification tasks.
  • Guide, assist, and train new and temporary employees.
  • Use computer programs including SAP and Microsoft applications.
  • Perform other duties as directed by Warehouse Supervisor.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, including at least 6 months operating a forklift.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Good math skills, including working with fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Ability to develop process expertise for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Excellent attendance record and flexibility to work any shift and overtime as needed.
  • Self-motivated and able to establish effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment as trained.
  • Physical ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently, with activities including climbing, standing, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, walking, talking, and carrying.
  • Willingness to wear a respirator if required.
