As a Shipper/Receiver I at Weatherby, you'll support daily shipping and receiving activities while learning core processes, systems, and safety practices. This role is designed for growth-starting with foundational tasks and expanding responsibilities as skills and confidence develop.SUMMARY DESCRIPTIONThe Shipper/Receiver I supports day-to-day shipping and receiving operations with a focus on accuracy, organization, and learning. This role assists with preparing shipments, receiving materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting warehouse flow. Skill-building – learn shipping, receiving, inventory systems, and warehouse fundamentals with clear growth opportunities.WHAT YOU'LL DO Assist with picking, packing, labeling, and preparing domestic shipments accurately and efficiently. • Help receive incoming materials by unloading, counting, and organizing product under direction. • Verify basic order and shipment information to ensure accuracy. • Learn to operate NetSuite, Kardex, and other warehouse systems for tracking and inventory accuracy. • Assist with packaging, palletizing, wrapping, and staging shipments. • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment safely once trained and authorized. • Support finished goods inventory organization and basic inventory counts. • Assist with returns, RMAs, and rework under guidance. • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. • Support other warehouse tasks as needed to keep work flowing smoothly.QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED required; warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience preferred but not required. • Willingness to learn shipping and receiving processes and systems. • Ability to read and follow safety rules, operating instructions, and work orders. • Basic math skills and attention to detail. • Ability to communicate clearly and work well with others. • Forklift experience preferred or willingness to obtain certification. • Dependability, initiative, and a positive attitude toward learning.ACCOUNTABILITIES AND MEASURES Meet objective goals assigned during performance coaching. • Complete assigned tasks accurately and on time. • Demonstrate consistent improvement in skills, efficiency, and reliability.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job the employee is required to acknowledge: • Ability to stand for prolonged periods; walk; use hands to handle materials; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. • Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. • Frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs; occasionally lift/move up to 65 lbs; push/pull up to 70 lbs.WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position operates in a manufacturing/warehouse environment and may be exposed to weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
