About the Role
We are looking for an experienced
Shipper & Receiver / Advanced Material Handler to join our team. The successful candidate will have strong forklift experience, excellent material-handling skills, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, organizing, and shipping materials and products while ensuring inventory is handled accurately and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials, parts, and supplies and verify quantities against shipping documents.
- Prepare and stage materials for production and outgoing shipments.
- Pick, load, unload, and move materials using forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Safely operate forklifts in a busy manufacturing environment.
- Ensure materials are stored and organized appropriately.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Complete shipping and receiving documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Logistics, and other departments to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory and material movement records.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform other warehouse and material-handling duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced forklift experience is required.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment.
- Strong material-handling experience, including moving large, heavy, or oversized materials.
- Valid driver's licence and a good driving/safety record.
- Ability to safely load and unload trucks and secure materials for transportation.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials as required.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.
