Jack's Coffee is hiring a Shift Supervisor to help lead the day-to-day operations of our cafés. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with proven supervisor experience, strong hospitality instincts, and the ability to keep a fast-paced café running smoothly.
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading scheduled shifts, supporting baristas, maintaining service standards, protecting the guest experience, and making sure the café is clean, stocked, organized, and ready for business. This person acts as the manager on duty during scheduled shifts and is trusted to make sound decisions on the floor.
Run each scheduled shift with urgency, professionalism, and attention to detail. Position the team effectively, manage breaks, keep service moving, and make sure guests receive a consistently great Jack's Coffee experience.
Open and close the café according to company standards. Maintain responsibility for keys, alarms, cash handling, security procedures, and overall café readiness.
Oversee cash handling during the shift, complete end-of-day cash procedures, verify register accuracy, and make bank deposits as assigned.
Coach team members in real time, reinforce drink standards and service expectations, and help maintain a positive and productive work environment. Deliver corrective actions when needed in partnership with café leadership and operations.
Conduct weekly inventory counts, monitor product levels, identify shortages, and place product orders according to café needs and company guidelines. Help maintain proper pars, reduce waste, and keep the café fully stocked for service.
Protect standards across cleanliness, organization, food safety, product quality, merchandising, speed of service, and guest hospitality. Ensure checklists are completed and the café is ready for each daypart.
Identify and troubleshoot basic facilities, equipment, and maintenance issues. Communicate problems clearly, escalate urgent issues, and follow up to make sure solutions are completed.
Support the team in preparing excellent drinks, including properly dialed-in espresso and consistent milk steaming. Latte art can be taught, but it will be required as part of the role. Shift Supervisors are expected to learn, practice, and uphold Jack's Coffee drink standards.
Set the tone for warm, fast, and consistent hospitality. Resolve guest issues professionally and make decisions that protect both the guest experience and the business.
Previous supervisor, shift lead, key holder, assistant manager, or café leadership experience is required.
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, confident on the floor, and comfortable leading a team in a busy hospitality environment.
