    Position Summary

    Supervises and coordinates all tasks of direct reports and ensures all equipment operates at peak efficiency to meet company-assigned goals.


    Main Responsibilities

    Runs the production area:


    • Ensures goods are produced and packaged in the correct quantities and to agreed specifications

    • Accurately records goods produced and problems encountered during the shift to ensure a smooth shift changeover

    • Performs mold changes with the Machine Operator

    • Ensures product quality

    • Ensures all employees understand and follow company policies and procedures

    • Ensures all employees work safely by following company regulations

    Leads the team:


    • Ensures the team works together as efficiently as possible

    • Assesses staff training needs and ensures training is carried out

    • Ensures adequate staffing for normal operations and to cover absences and holidays

    • Accurately records team time and attendance

    • Conducts regular performance evaluations

    Other duties:


    • Attends meetings with the Production Manager

    • Reviews employee concerns and issues with the Production Manager

    • Maintains good housekeeping within the department

    Education and Experience


    • High school diploma or equivalent required

    • Technical or engineering background

    • Supervisory experience required, preferably in the plastics industry

    • Strong process knowledge


    Qualifications and Skills


    • Computer literate

    • Ability to train personnel
