Job Title:  Shift Supervisor - 26-00011

The Professional & Direct Hire Division of Spherion Mid-Ohio is seeking a 3rd Shift Supervisor to join our client's team! This is a direct-hire leadership opportunity with pay ranging from $55,000–$70,000, and the opportunity to play a key role overseeing all third-shift operations.

As a 3rd Shift Supervisor, you'll oversee all operations on third shift, leading approximately 40 employees with two supervisors reporting directly to you. This is a working supervisor role, requiring a strong floor presence while also handling administrative and leadership responsibilities. You'll act as the overall plant leader during off-shift hours and support production, safety, quality, and team performance. Job Responsibilities

• Participate in hiring, discipline, and termination processes while supporting fair and consistent people management across 3rd shift
• Assist with developing and improving procedures
• Accurately complete required administrative paperwork
• Support quality standards and procedures across all active 3rd-shift departments
• Enforce work rules, company policies, and safety standards
• Analyze labor needs and productivity requirements to ensure proper staffing and smooth shift operations
• Ensure compliance with TS-16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards
• Support achievement of production KPI goals through hands-on floor leadership
• Serve as a working supervisor, filling in for absent supervisors or team members as needed
• Act as the final decision-maker for all off-shift operations
• Coordinate off-shift Emergency Action Plans and crisis response
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience
• Experience supervising production teams in a manufacturing environment
• Strong people-leadership skills with the ability to motivate employees and work collaboratively with other supervisors
• Comfortable learning and using manufacturing systems and software (PLEX experience or willingness to learn required)
• Welding or metal fabrication experience strongly preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively up and down the chain of command
• Willingness to be hands-on and visible on the production floor

• Compensation: $55,000–$70,000 annually, based on experience
• Schedule : 3rd Shift - Typically 8:00pm – 5:00am, five days per week
