Monarch Restaurant Group, Inc. is opening a brand-new Zaxbys in Tempe, and we're looking for an experienced, hands-on Shift Manager to help lead our very first team. Our Shift Managers support the General Manager and Assistant Managers in hitting goals for sales, costs, team training and retention, guest satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation. WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Complete all required training, including the Zaxbys Shift Leader Development Plan, Basic Operations Training, Food Safety and Manager Certifications, and any additional Monarch Restaurant Group training.
• Plan and delegate shift assignments, set clear expectations, and adjust as needed throughout the shift.
• Supervise, train, and coach team members through ongoing development so they perform at their best and reach quarterly goals.
• Make sure every guest's expectations are met and exceeded by consistently upholdingservice, food quality, and cleanliness standards.
• Build a positive culture and strong team morale through recognition and leading by example.
• Handle and report guest and team member complaints, concerns, and injuries promptly, in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Make sure the team works safely and follows all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Ensure daily operations follow all Zaxbys Franchising LLC and Monarch Restaurant Group standards, policies, and procedures.
• Stay in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and guidelines.
• Use management tools and systems to manage inventory, keep neat, accurate, and current records, and administer progressive discipline.
• Communicateteam performance concerns to your General Manager.
• Immediately report all HR and risk management concerns to your General Manager and owners, and escalate other issues to your supervisor when appropriate.
• Stay flexible, go above and beyond, and take on any other duties needed to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have at least one year of previous management or equivalent experience.
• A positive, guest-focused leader who stays calm and organized in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and coach a team.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, which may include opening, closing, weekends, and holidays.
