Position Summary: The Shift Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer. The Shift Lead will act as a liaison between site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager and professional security officers. Supervise staff on assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition and discipline within approved empowerment range.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
•* Oversees the shift workflow of the department.
•* Handles discipline of employees in accordance with company policy.
•* Keep accurate logs throughout your scheduled shift
•* Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting
Detailed Duties/Responsibilities:
•* Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions
•* Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
•* Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
•* Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
•* Maintain the security and safety of the hospital community
•* Patrol the facility, ensuring the continual safety and security of all hospital staff, patients and visitors
•* Maintain a physical presence within the hospital facility; serving as a visible deterrent to illegal activity
•* Positively contribute to the overall patient experience by providing superior customer care
•* Provide an empathetic approach to managing patient aggression
•* Write detailed and accurate reports outlining any incidents that occur on the property
•* Respond to emergency situations that require security assistance
Required Skills/Abilities:
•* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
•* Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
•* Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
•* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
•* Must be at least 18 years old
•* High school diploma or equivalent.
•* At least two years’ related experience required
Physical Requirements:
•* Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
•* Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
•* Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
