Job Title: Sheet Metal Manufacturing Supervisor

Location: Onsite in Lewisville, TX – Manufacturing Environment
Schedule: Full-time, 40hrs per week (overtime as needed)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Manufacturing Supervisor to lead daily operations within a sheet metal fabrication environment. This role is responsible for supervising a team of technicians and CNC operators while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership skills to drive performance, improve processes, and meet production goals.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise, coach, and motivate team members to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets
  • Create and manage daily and weekly production schedules and priorities
  • Allocate labor, materials, and equipment to meet operational goals
  • Support hiring, performance management, and employee development in partnership with HR
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain accurate time, attendance, and performance records

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Enforce safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies
  • Ensure employees are trained on safe operation of machinery and equipment
  • Monitor work areas to maintain safe, clean, and organized conditions
  • Verify product quality by ensuring adherence to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Identify and escalate safety, quality, or performance issues

Technical & Operational Oversight

  • Oversee setup, calibration, and operation of sheet metal fabrication equipment, including CNC, turret press, laser cutting, and bending operations
  • Ensure proper tooling selection, machine settings, and workflow execution
  • Support and validate CNC programming and process improvements
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and resolve production bottlenecks
  • Provide hands-on technical support as needed
  • Ensure routine maintenance is performed on equipment

Continuous Improvement & Collaboration

  • Identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to improve processes and workflows
  • Drive LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness and efficiency

Reporting & Systems

  • Track and report on production, quality, safety, and performance metrics
  • Utilize ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and production software for reporting and operations
  • Support additional operational and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2+ years of manufacturing or production experience (sheet metal or CNC preferred)
  • Minimum 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Hands-on experience with CNC programming, machine setup, or sheet metal fabrication strongly preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Mechanically inclined with hands-on technical capabilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • Familiarity with OSHA and workplace safety standards
  • Experience with metal fabrication processes (bending, forming, laser cutting, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of 3D concepts and drawings
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus
