We are seeking a Sheet Metal Estimator in Pittsburgh, PA

Job Duties:

-Review architectural drawings, specifications, project plans, and bid documents to determine sheet metal and roofing requirements.
-Prepare accurate estimates and material takeoffs for commercial roofing and architectural sheet metal projects.
-Calculate quantities for flashing, coping, gutters, downspouts, edge metal, roof curbs, and other sheet metal components.
-Obtain and review material and subcontractor pricing from vendors and suppliers.
-Prepare detailed bids, proposals, and cost breakdowns for projects.
-Coordinate with project managers, sales staff, vendors, and subcontractors throughout the estimating process.
-Identify project scope, exclusions, potential changes, and areas that may impact overall costs.
-Review plans for constructability and identify discrepancies or missing information.
-Track bid opportunities, deadlines, and submitted proposals.
-Assist with change order pricing and revisions as needed.
-Maintain estimating records, pricing information, and project documentation.
-Communicate with customers, general contractors, architects, and suppliers regarding project requirements and pricing.
-Visit job sites when necessary to gather measurements and assess existing conditions.

Job Requirements:

-2+ years of estimating experience in commercial roofing, sheet metal, construction, or a related field preferred.
-Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems and architectural sheet metal.
-Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and construction specifications.
-Experience performing material takeoffs and quantity calculations.
-Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
-Experience with estimating software, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar programs preferred.
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with sales, project management, vendors, and customers.
-Knowledge of construction materials, labor costs, and subcontractor pricing preferred.
-Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
