Responsibilities
- Set up and operate shear machines to cut materials according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on shear equipment.
- Monitor the quality of cut materials and make adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Document production data and maintain accurate records of work performed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining or manufacturing preferred.
- Proven experience as a Shear Operator or in a similar role within a machine shop.
- Strong understanding of machine operation and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
