Position Summary
The Shared-Time Director for Special Services and Community Based Resources is responsible for the coordination of special education programs and services in the assigned local school district(s). This position is responsible for the development and the implementation of Program Plans, when applicable, and all multi-tiered programs and services within the assigned area. The Director works with the Genesee Intermediate School District Assistant Superintendent of Special Services and other GISD administrators to coordinate and manage day-to-day special education services, projects, and other assignments as directed by the Assistant Superintendent.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Master's degree required. Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate or approval in a related special education service area; eligible for approval as a director/supervisor of special education required. Meet the school administrator continuing education requirements.
Experience:
Minimum of two years as a special education administrator preferred. Minimum of five years' experience as a special education teacher or other related special education service provider required. Experience in local district special and general education programs is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $115,000 - $130,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
Work Schedule: 261 days per year, 7.5 hour days
