SFTP Infrastructure Engineer

The SFTP Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure file transfer platforms, working closely with solution and platform architects, EDI specialists, server engineers, and business stakeholders in order to manage the environment. Hansen Talent Group is seeking an SFTP Infrastructure Engineer to support a large secure file transfer environment and support enterprise data exchange pipelines. The ideal candidate has in-depth server knowledge as well as enterprise-level engineering experience. This role is open to remote candidates who are capable of obtaining a federal security clearance.

The SFTP Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure file transfer platforms, working closely with solution and platform architects, EDI specialists, server engineers, and business stakeholders in order to manage the environment. 

Duties:

• Participate in stakeholder meetings and planning sessions to support requirements gathering and technical design efforts. 
• Serve as SME for transmission infrastructure projects and security levels for all managed file transfer applications.
• Configure and maintain SFTP servers, monitoring performance and troubleshooting connectivity or production issues. 
• Install and configure Connect:Direct on Windows and UNIX/LINUX servers
• Tested new setups and changes to existing setups with internal and external clients to
  ensure reliable delivery of data.
• Maintained versions, patches, and security levels of all managed file transfer applications
  (SFTP, SSH, FTP, FTPS).
• Responsible for management of SSL/TLS certificates
• Developed documentation for support of data transmission infrastructure
• Participate in on-call rotation to support 365x24x7 operations.

Qualifications:

• In-depth understanding of managed file transfer infrastructure and security protocols 
• Hands-on experience with IBM Connect:Direct across Windows and/or UNIX/LINUX environments
