SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY SPECIALIST

Conducts interviews with sex offenders required to register with the County due to court mandate; gathers personal information and data, health and medical information, distinguishing features and characteristics, employment information, legal documents and information, etc.; takes photographs and fingerprints; verifies primary residence is not near protected area; verifies completeness and accuracy of all information and data; reviews sex offender registry rules and regulations; and ensures completion of contract. Performs data entry functions by keying information into local, state and federal databases; enters, retrieves, reviews or modifies data; scans documents; prints files to verify accuracy of entered data; and makes corrections as needed. Schedules and maintains appointment calendar: schedules interviews and appointments; pulls files, records and criminal histories; and prepares documentation and forms for scheduled appointments. Forwards offender data and information to law enforcement for verification prepares and prints address verification; adds, updates and highlights new or pertinent information; forwards to law enforcement. Performs other related duties as required. Must possess and maintain a valid South Carolina Driver"s License.
