We are currently seeking experienced and dependable Sewing Machine Operators for one of our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience 2+ years operating industrial sewing machines and be able to produce quality products while maintaining a steady production pace.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to work cooperatively with others both within the department and externally.
- Technical knowledge of the processes and equipment with 3-5 years’ related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High school or equivalent diploma is preferred.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to read work orders and patterns.
- Sew complete bag to customer specifications.
- Ability to solve problems using formalized problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to understand basic processes and methodically improve them.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including mandatory overtime.
