Settlement Processing Specialist (Quality Control Department)In-Office Full-TimeNEGOTIATIONS. QUALITY CONTROL. CLIENT IMPACTDebtBlue is growing - and we're looking for a driven, Settlement Processing Specialist to join our Negotiations department and play a critical role in ensuring settlements are processed accuratley, efficiently, and according to our quality standards.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAudit negotiated settlements for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company proceduresLock new settlements once the required audit has been completed and the settlement meets processing requirementsCall creditors or third parties to process settlement payments when required.Process payoffs for active settlements when sufficient client funds are available or when a payoff is requested.Contact creditors or third parties to confirm payoff amounts and requirements before completing an active settlement payoff.Request proof of payment for active settlements when documentation is needed to confirm payment completion.Follow up with creditors or third parties as needed to obtain requested proof of payment.Manage multiple negotiations while consistently meeting performance and productivity goals.Qualifications and Educational RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED (required)1+ year of experience in a transactional or financial operations role (required)Experience handling time-sensitive financial tasks such as processing payments, reviewing transactions, or managing account informationFamiliarity working alongside creditors, lenders, financial institutions, or vendors· Hourly Pay - $18/hour, paid BiweeklyBenefitsMedical (PPO), dental, and vision coverage is availableGroup term life, AD&D, and long-term disability (LTD) insurance is availableVirtual doctor and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefits are availableVoluntary life and short-term disability (STD) insurance is available401(k) retirement planPaid time off (PTO)Work EnvironmentThis is an in-office, high-energy call floor in Richardson, TX - not remote.
