We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Set-Up Technician to join our Injection Molding department. In this vital role, you will be responsible for executing precise mold changes, setting up machinery for production runs, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Your expertise will help maintain molds in optimal condition, ensuring production stays on schedule and meets quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct mold changes and machine setups aligned with daily production schedules.
- Prepare, clean, inspect, and properly store molds to ensure longevity and performance.
- Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move molds and equipment efficiently.
- Diagnose and resolve mold setup and production issues promptly.
- Perform routine mold maintenance, including lubrication and minor repairs.
- Complete accurate setup documentation and production paperwork.
- Inspect molds for wear or damage, coordinating repairs with maintenance teams as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S standards.
- Adhere to all safety policies and consistently wear required PPE.
- Strive to meet or exceed production targets, quality standards, and attendance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in injection molding mold setup or as a process technician.
- Proven experience performing mold changes in a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift and overhead crane operation experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and complete comprehensive production documentation.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
