    Description

    What is my day to day like?

    As our set-up mechanic, you will play a central role in ensuring that all equipment is prepared and

    maintained for top performance. You will focus on managing all changeovers for our Thermoforming

    Machines, including cutting stations and tooling, by minimizing downtown through precise set-up and

    maintenance. Your day-to-day will include but is not limited to:

    • Tooling Maintenance: Inspecting and organizing tooling before and after use to ensure all

    components are functional. Reporting any performance deviations to maintain quality and ensure

    tools are repaired before installation.

    • Safety and Housekeeping: Maintaining safety switches and guards, and following lock-out

    procedures. Ensuring all changeover areas clean and organized and report unsafe conditions

    immediately.

    • Training and Development: Training operators on basic safety and operational procedures.
    • Quality Assurance: Ensuring high-quality parts by properly setting up forming and trimming

    equipment.

    • Equipment Coordination: Collaborating with management to address repairs, preventative

    maintenance, and equipment improvements.

    • Maintenance Support: Assisting the maintenance department as production allows and support

    the Production Manager with additional tasks as needed.

    • Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety,

    quality, product safety and legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable.

    What makes a person successful in this position.

    • Proven mechanical ability and basic knowledge of electrical controllers and circuits
    • In depth and detailed knowledge of Thermoforming, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical

    processes

    • Ability to work overtime if needed
    • 3 years in thermoforming, machine maintenance and plastics a plus
    • High School diploma or equivalent trade school diploma

    What will my schedule be like?

    This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours a week with overtime eligibility. This position is on a

    12-hour rotational schedule
