Services CPQ Sr Business Systems Analyst

Job Title:Services CPQ Sr Business Systems Analyst

Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Services CPQ Sr Business Systems Analyst with our client located in Santa Clara, CA.

Job Description: This is a high-impact opportunity to shape how the quotes, sells, and delivers services at scale. As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will be the strategic business architect driving the transformation of our CPQ platform across Professional Services and Support portfolios. In this high-impact role, you will take true ownership of the end-to-end quote-to-cash lifecycle, bridging technical architecture and strategic vision. Partnering directly with senior leaders across Customer Experience, Sales, Finance, and IT, you will solve complex business challenges, design scalable systems.
You will be directly accountable for how Customer Experience and Services offerings are scoped, configured, priced, and quoted within the CPQ platform. Partnering directly with Customer Experience, Advanced Services, Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, and IT, you will translate complex requests into streamlined workflows and application requirements while maintaining high standards for scope management, data integrity, and system design.

Job Responsibilities:

Services Scoping, Configuration & Quoting (Primary Focus)
 

• Accountable for process and workflow design and application requirements for how Services are discovered, scoped, configured, and quoted in the CPQ platform
• Lead workflow, application, and data requirements to enable new services across the end-to-end quote-to-cash process in collaboration with Portfolio, SKU Operations, and IT.
• Translate NSI/service-brief outputs into CPQ configuration (catalog placement, approval thresholds, Zuora billing/subscription setup) so new services are launched and are transactable from quote to revenue recognition.
• Participate in the intake process for new service SKUs so Services Ops, Finance, and Delivery have visibility into how each service is scoped, priced, approved, and billed.
• Partner with IT to enable CPQ platform Services solution framework to enable data and config-driven onboarding of new/updated services rather than custom development.

 
Billing & Order Management (Secondary Focus)
 

• Support requirements and future-state workflow design across CPQ, Zuora Billing, ServiceNow SOM, and ServiceNow CRM.
• Conduct As-Is/To-Be analysis and validate cross-system logic across pricing, discount/approval workflows, order management, subscription creation, and billing accuracy.
• Partner with IT to validate builds against approved designs and lead UAT planning, execution, and defect triage.

 
Business Partnership & Program Management
 

• Act as a trusted advisor to Customer Experience, Advanced Services, Sales, and Finance leadership, evaluating requests for revenue, margin, and compliance impact — not just technical feasibility.
• Advocate for best practices and system scalability by constructively evaluating requests with stakeholders and IT, offering alternative solutions when risks arise.
• Manage competing priorities across a multi-workstream transformation program; maintain process maps, decision logs, and requirements traceability.
• Review IT epics and user stories to ensure they enable related business requirements

Job Qualifications:

• 5-7+ years as a senior BSA, functional consultant, or transformation lead, with direct experience scoping, pricing, or quoting Professional/Advanced Services and subscription models in a CPQ platform.
• Experience implementing Zuora Billing (subscriptions, invoicing, revenue/billing reconciliation) and ServiceNow SOM/CRM preferred.
• Professional services background preferred — direct experience scoping, pricing, or delivering services gives critical context for configuring them accurately in CPQ.
• Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders across business and IT functions.
• Experience in large-scale, strategic transformation programs, with strong documentation (Lucidchart/Visio/Miro) and facilitation skills; familiarity with Agile/Jira.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or related field preferred — or equivalent experience.

Nice To Have:

• Professional Services delivery, pricing, quoting or operations background (e.g., SOWs, service cost/margin models).
• Salesforce CPQ, Zuora, or ServiceNow certifications.
• Experience integrating CPQ/Billing/ServiceNow with downstream ERP, subscription management, or revenue recognition systems; global rollout experience.

• Contract: 6 months
• Pay rate: $88-$98 /hr
• Location: Santa Clara, CA
