Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a
ServiceNow Application Workflow Developer for a
CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier
Financial Services clients in
Dallas, TX or Salt Lake City, UT. Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all technical tasks related to configuration and implementation
- Provide software coding and customization including, but not limited to: screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, scripting, third party software integrations, and custom application development
- Leverage the ServiceNow SDK (NOW SDK) to design, build, and package scoped applications locally within Visual Studio Code Desktop, utilizing ServiceNow Fluent and modern command-line interface (CLI) tools
- Utilize Now Assist for Creator generative AI capabilities to accelerate application development, automate playbook and flow generation, and streamline code creation
- Update and maintain a comprehensive testing protocol for Service Now instance upgrades with the purpose of certifying all applications for use after the upgrade completes
- Design, develop, test, and deploy various Service Now product needs in banking environment within SDLC
- Own and drive enhancements to improve reliability and performance of existing solutions
- Analysing risks, gaps in the existing environment/applications and resolve them
- Drive enhancing scalability, performance, and monitoring strategies for the existing platform
- Collaborating with clients in requirement gathering and providing multiple logical solutions
- Challenge existing solutions, processing and suggest different ways to solve problem or improve stability
- Build/improve run books for quality documentation and auditing purpose
- Effectively manage projects while maintaining a high level of attention to detail adaptable to change and able to work independently and as part of a team
RequiredSkills:
- 8+ years of ServiceNow platform experience preferably in development and implementation
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
- Hands-on experience with the ServiceNow SDK (NOW SDK), including local application initialization, metadata transformation, and deploying scoped applications from a local IDE (e.g., VS Code).
- Proficiency in ServiceNow Fluent for defining application metadata in code, alongside server-side JavaScript modules and third-party libraries.
- Experience leveraging Now Assist for Creator (or similar generative AI developer tools) to optimize development efficiency, code generation, and workflow automation.
- Hands on experience with incident management, problem management, change management, knowledge management, service catalog, service level management (SLM), workflows and email notifications
- Good understanding of core platform features, flow designer, ACLs, server side APIs and client side APIs in ServiceNow
- Good knowledge on ATF, reports, dashboards, import sets, transformations, update sets and system clone, upgrades in ServiceNow
- Hands on experience on development of custom scoped applications
- Java, J2EE, Servlet, JSP, XML, AJAX, SQL, jQuery, JavaScript and any web-based development tools
- Good understanding on ITSM, CSM modules Event Management, Integrations, Orchestration
- Hands on experience on working with Rest API's
- A fair understanding of MID Server Configuration, CMDB, discovery and asset management
- Good knowledge and experience on debugging, troubleshooting mechanisms in ServiceNow
- Demonstrated success at delivery of assignments with tight deadline.
- Ability to work independently, but strong team player with experience of working as part of a global team.
- Self-starter mind set with the ability to share ideas, identify and drive opportunities.
- Strong problem analysis skills to include the use of mathematical concepts to validate results
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, disseminate, and present significant amounts of information with an attention to detail
- Clear and concise communication with superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Manage and prioritize work effectively with minimal supervision
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate the technical and functional aspects of the problem to senior stakeholders.
- Coordinate and solve complex technical data and transformation issues.
- Obtain and analyze/interpret business requirements to purpose sustainable solutions in Service Now.
- Answer "how to” technical and application configuration questions.
- Develop, maintain, and execute reports to ensure system operation meets performance targets.
- Create and maintain system design and operations documentation

- Financial Service domain knowledge whilst, not a pre-requisite is desirable
