DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS OF WORK
Employees in this class perform a wide variety of manual labor. However, as work experience is gained, employees may be assigned to work of more than ordinary difficulty. Work is usually closely supervised, and the employee receives specific work instructions at the beginning of each new assignment. Constant supervision is not necessary for routine or repetitive tasks.

Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact.
Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
Work involves working indoors and outdoors in inclement weather conditions.
Work involves sitting and standing for long periods of time.
Work involves frequent walking, bending, lifting and stooping for short periods of time.
Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of up to 30 pounds.
