Good Driving Record…Great Attitude…Get Started!!! Volkswagen in Chesapeake is in need of a Valet Driver. If you are reliable, pay attention to your surroundings, and are ready to work, we'd love to meet you! You will also have a SET SCHEDULE!!!!( so you can enjoy your Summer and still make money). This is a position that will keep the blood moving and the income flowing. Here is the exact rotating schedule that you will be working:

  • WEEK 1: Monday thru Friday 12:30pm - 6:00pm
  • WEEK 2: Monday thru Friday 1:00pm - 6:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am - 5:00pm

The schedule will then repeat, so it's WEEK 1, WEEK 2, WEEK 1, WEEK 2……… You get the idea!

So, in a nutshell, you get to sleep in Monday through Friday every week, and we only need you to work every other Saturday! Like we said before, you'll have space to enjoy your free time while still making money, and helping us keep our Service Department organized is an excellent way to do it!

Our Service Valets help us keep our vehicles in order and maintain a steady flow throughout the dealership and the shop. When it comes to our Service Departments, we need responsible, safe, and reliable team members in place to keep these vehicles moving to and from their designated areas when assigned/required. The Service Valet works within the Service Department to move customer vehicles from the welcome area to the technician bays to ensure smooth and efficient traffic flow through the facility, increase customer convenience, and maintain an orderly service parking area.

The ideal candidate for this position is at least 18 years old, has an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, and can drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles. Previous experience preferred. Fluent English speaking and writing skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greets all customers entering the service area with a friendly, professional attitude, answers any questions, and directs them to the appropriate person or location
  • Determines if customers have an appointment and records customer's name, VIN, tag number, mileage, and existing vehicle damage (walk around)
  • Controls service traffic flow and parking, help with loaner vehicles as needed, and parks vehicles after they have been written up
  • Drives safely and reports any lot damage immediately
  • Retrieves vehicles for customers at Cashier for pick-up, waits at vehicle for customers, and thanks customers for their business
  • Installs disposable protective coverings (seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, etc.) and I.D. tags in all vehicles brought in for service
  • Delivers keys and repair order hard copies to the appropriate Service Advisor immediately after parking a vehicle in the service parking lot
  • Maintains a clean and safe service area that is free of trash, water, leaves, and dirt
  • Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed
  • Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures
  • Completes any reports or logs
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience preferred
  • Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
  • Can drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance
  • An impressive work ethic
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service focus
