    Description

    Entry Level Position!!   If you are looking for a start in the field of Heavy-Duty repair, we have an opportunity for you. Learn while working hands on in our Service Center.

    Responsible for performing preventative maintenance on trucks from class 5 through class 8 vehicles and recreational vehicles per OEM and company guideline.

    . Other duties may be assigned.

    ·       Diagnoses and repairs various truck systems using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, and jacks and hoists.

    ·       Ensures that repairs are completed with complete and accurate manner as per supervisor or work order instructions.

    ·       Maintains correct time punches and work order processes.

    ·       Maintains efficiency standards and attendance policy as required.

    ·       Tags all parts as required and follows all warranty procedures set for the by each OEM

    ·       Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.

    ·       Keeps work area clean and free of debris.

    ·       Maintain Shop tooling and equipment.

    ·       Perform various daily inspections on shop equipment.

    ·       Steam and prep vehicles for delivery or major repair.

    ·       Move and maintain Stock vehicles on site.

    ·       Keeps customer vehicle clean during repair process and after repairs are complete.

    ·       Able complete 100% of on-line Freightliner Technician Training to become Systems Certified in Cascadia, M-2, Western Star, DT12, Detroit Axles, CNG Systems within specified time.

    Education General Experience

    Preferred, but not required:  One year certificate from a fully accredited college or technical school and, Minimum of two years related experience and/or training  

    An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable  

    Skills

    English Language & Reading Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

    Writing Skills - Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

    Presentation Skills - Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    Mathematical Skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of algebra and geometry.

    Reasoning Skills - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

    Application - Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Computer Skills - Basic understanding of Windows and Microsoft Office
