Service Technician

Willie Johnson Ford is seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team in Pratt, KS. As a Service Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing vehicles, ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction. This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20.00 to $50.00, and an opportunity to work with a reputable automotive company.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests and vehicle repairs efficiently and accurately
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control
• Communicate effectively with the service team and customers regarding vehicle issues and repairs
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and environmental regulations
• Keep a clean and organized workspace
• Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role in automotive repair
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostic tools
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of vehicle makes and models
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred

We are looking for a Ford Certified Service Technician to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background and ASE & Ford certified. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing what repairs need to be done.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required

• Ford Certification

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is preferred

• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair

• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination

• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies

• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve

• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment

• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively

• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
