A growing power generation and equipment services company is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join its Odessa, TX team. This is an opportunity to work with a stable organization that provides critical power solutions to customers across West Texas.

Compensation & Benefits

Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• 30-60 minute lunch break
• On-call rotation required
• Currently every other weekend, with plans to transition to every third weekend as additional technicians are added

Position Overview
This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, commissioning, and field service work on power generation and related equipment.

Approximately:

• 80% Field Service Work
• 20% Shop/Yard Responsibilities

Technicians travel to customer locations throughout the region and play a critical role in maintaining equipment uptime and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and service equipment in the field and shop
• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repair work
• Deploy, commission, and decommission equipment at customer sites
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems
• Complete accurate service documentation, work orders, and repair records
• Maintain assigned service truck, tools, and parts inventory
• Communicate equipment issues and repair recommendations to customers and management
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards
• Maintain a professional relationship with customers and team members
• Participate in ongoing technical training and development

What We're Looking For Required

• Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment, diesel, generator, industrial equipment, or related mechanical experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Basic electrical troubleshooting capabilities
• Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred

• 3+ years of hands-on technician experience
• Generator, power generation, diesel engine, rental equipment, or heavy equipment experience
• Mobile service technician background
• Experience performing diagnostics with limited supervision
