HiFyve is hiring a Service Technician in the Heavy Equipment industry in Indianapolis, IN!
Salary: $32–$37/hour
Shift: Full-Time | Monday–Friday (hours may vary)
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical issues on heavy equipment in shop and field environments
- Perform independent field service repairs with minimal supervision
- Repair and replace engines, hydraulic systems, air conditioning, suspension, braking, steering, drive-train, and electrical components
- Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Perform welding, brazing, fabrication, and modification of equipment and components as required
- Source, order, and install replacement parts to complete repairs efficiently
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and DOT requirements
- Communicate repair findings, causes, and corrective actions to supervisors and customers
- Travel and work remotely, including overnight stays, as required
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Technical or vocational school training (preferred)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and drive-train systems
- Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills on heavy equipment
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Ability to use electrical and hydraulic testing equipment
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance practices
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOT Medical Certification
