As a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician you will specialize in the installation maintenance inspection and repair of fire sprinkler systems. This role ensures that these life-saving systems are functioning correctly to protect properties and occupants in the event of a fire. The technician works both on new installations and on maintaining existing systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standardsAs a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician you willInstall overhead sprinkler piping.Install and service valves devices and trim.Fabricate assemble install and maintain piping fixtures and equipment.Manipulate pipe to specifications.Attach pipes to walls structures and fixtures using brackets clamps tools or welding equipment.Inspect and test installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauges hydrostatic testing observation or other methods.Plan installations or repairs according to the conditions encountered.RequirementsAbility to work an unpredictable and ever-changing work scheduleValid drivers licenseHigh School Diploma or equivalentStrong mechanical background preferredMinimum 3 years of previous experience preferredLicensed Backflow Tester or willingness to obtain within 6 monthsLicensed Maine Fire Sprinkler or ability to obtain within 6 monthsWorking EnvironmentAbility to work in a fast-paced service environmentProblem solving skillsAbility to coordinate and work well with othersProven ability and track record of performing work in a timely manner and meeting deadlinesAbility to lift up to at least 50 poundsAbility to climb laddersAs part of the DU Family of Companies we believe that investing and empowering our employees as leaders develops an organization that delivers innovative solutions and services that create a superior customer experience.
