    Position Purpose

    The Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily front-end operations and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the store. This position provides leadership to front-end associates, monitors customer service standards, supports operational efficiency, and helps achieve store performance goals while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

    Key Responsibilities Front-End Operations

    • Supervise daily front-end activities, including cashiering, customer service, self-checkout, and courtesy clerk functions.
    • Monitor customer traffic patterns and adjust staffing levels to maintain efficient service.
    • Ensure checkout lanes, service desks, and self-checkout areas operate efficiently.
    • Support opening, closing, and manager-on-duty responsibilities as assigned.
    • Monitor department conditions to ensure cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness.
    • Assist with implementing company initiatives, promotions, and service programs.

    Customer Service

    • Deliver exceptional customer service and promote a customer-first culture.
    • Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns professionally and promptly.
    • Resolve service issues in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • Promote customer loyalty programs and store services.
    • Ensure customers receive prompt, courteous, and accurate service.
    • Foster a positive shopping experience for all customers.

    Leadership & Team Development

    • Provide daily direction, coaching, and support to front-end associates.
    • Assist with training and onboarding new employees.
    • Monitor associate productivity, attendance, and adherence to company standards.
    • Promote teamwork, accountability, and associate engagement.
    • Communicate operational priorities and performance expectations to team members.
    • Support leadership in maintaining a productive and positive work environment.

    Cash Handling & Asset Protection

    • Ensure compliance with company cash-handling procedures and financial controls.
    • Monitor till accountability, register accuracy, and reconciliation processes.
    • Assist with investigating cash discrepancies and operational issues.
    • Support loss prevention and asset protection initiatives.
    • Maintain confidentiality regarding financial and personnel information.
    • Ensure associates follow all operational security procedures.

    Safety & Compliance

    • Promote a safe environment for customers and associates.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety programs, and operational procedures.
    • Identify and address potential safety hazards promptly.
    • Assist with incident reporting and emergency response procedures.
    • Support compliance with all labor, operational, and customer service standards.

    Store Operations Support

    • Collaborate with department managers and store leadership to support store operations.
    • Assist with store projects, special events, and operational initiatives.
    • Help maintain service standards throughout the store.
    • Monitor operational metrics and support continuous improvement efforts.
    • Serve as a key point of contact during assigned shifts.
