Trane in Arden Hills, MN is hiring a Service Project Manager! The Service Project Manager will manage all aspects of our Service Turnkey and Large Repair projects in the Twin Cities, La Crosse and Chippewa Falls markets.  They will have direct responsibility for project financials, administration, implementation, management and customer satisfaction.  They will lead the project team through all facets of the project and is the established point of contact for stakeholders, and support project development efforts to scope total solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support sales functions by assisting with quote preparation, project development, and proposals.
  • Validate project scope, cost, schedule by conducting site walks, attending pre-sales scoping meetings with account managers, holding internal meetings, and establishing clear customer expectations
  • Responsible for change order management by identifying opportunities, recommending solutions, facilitating quotes, utilizes pricing strategies, and closing orders providing total solutions across business streams
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by supporting company initiatives, building customer relationships, investigating concerns, implementing corrective actions, and developing communication plans with both internal and external stakeholders to provide timely project updates
  • Utilizes properly qualified subcontractors, oversees subcontractor RFQ process, awards subcontracts, manages subcontractor execution, collaborate with subcontractors to establish communication guidelines for project progress, project meetings, billing expectations, project safety and foster professional relationships with subcontractors.
  • Financially manages all aspects of projects including cash flow, monthly forecasted cost / revenue, forecasted cost at completion, monitoring expenses, collections support, applied cost, and oversees preparation and communications for monthly backlog review with leaders.
  • Create and maintain project schedules to determine resource timing, coordinate with all subcontractors, technician teams and external customer stakeholders to validate schedule, impact of work, timing of subcontracted scope and access needs while on-site 
  • Leads all aspects of project administration including, permit acquisition, subcontract submission and procurement, material acquisition, quote solicitation, scope change management, billing schedules, contract document management, regulatory compliance documentation, etc.

 

Qualifications:

  • Advanced understanding HVAC retrofit, modification, repair & replacement projects in a Commercial / Industrial environment. 
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership skills, ability to convey technical concepts to the right audience at the right level of detail, organizational expertise, strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to successfully lead a project team.
  • Electrical, Mechanical Engineering  or Construction Project Management Degree  - OR
  • Combination of associates degree + 5-8 years’ experience managing commercial HVAC Service Projects
  • Experience with Project Schedules / PM Software
  • Driver License, Valid and in State Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years. within 1 Year Required

$91,516.66 - $148,200.00
