    POSITION SUMMARY

    The service pro is responsible for labeling and printing shipper/load sheets for packages that are being shipped. The service pro will work with various label types such as master labels, mixed labels, individual box labels, as well as create labels for bundles. They will be required to type load sheet information into the computer system as well as shipper sheet information. The service pro will prepare boxes and bundles for shipment. The service pro will be responsible for checking the accuracy of all labels and part numbers. They will be responsible for reviewing and complying with all steps outlined in the process work instructions. The service pro is expected to move efficiently and safely with the end result being a ready to ship box/bundle. Organization and teamwork is important for this role. They will help oversee that the service department is kept clean and safe during and after the shift. Perform all duties assigned to them by the Lead/Supervisor.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Parts & Service Pro

    • Refer to schedule sheets for order dates and information.
    • Select service parts for shipment from inventory as required for customer order.
    • Operate copier machine/label machine and controls.
    • Print all required forms and place in designated locations.
    • Create various labels and package boxes based on customer requirements.
    • Place labels on packages and skids based on customers packaging requirements.
    • Record parts that are missing (in WIP, FG, etc.).
    • Place packages on cart for FedEx/UPS shipments as required.
    • Examine completed work to verify conformance to standards.
    • Notify material handler of any parts that are low in stock.
    • Refer to process work instructions for a step-by-step guide.

    Quality, Safety & Compliance

    • Adhere to all established safety policies, procedures, and practices; wear required PPE including safety-toed shoes at all times.

    • Sustain 5S and lean manufacturing philosophy and culture throughout the work area.

    • Analyze, audit, and inspect the work area to identify opportunities for improvement.

    • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.

    Teamwork & Customer Service

    • Provide good customer service to all customers, both internal and external.

    • Demonstrate teamwork by collaborating with others to improve overall standards of performance, service, safety, and quality.

    • Cooperate with Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Managers; communicate in a positive, professional manner.

    • Support the organization's goals, values, and continuous improvement efforts.

    • Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader, Supervisor, and/or Manager.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS

    • Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or parts fulfillment environment.

    • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and 5S practices.

    • Experience in a seating, automotive, or commercial vehicle parts environment.

    • A reliable, detail-oriented team player who takes pride in accuracy, maintains a positive attitude, and is motivated by contributing to a high-performing service operation.

    • Ability to identify specific parts and part numbers and accurately follow a Bill of Materials list.

    • Must have neat, easily legible handwriting and basic computer skills.

    • Ability to learn multiple jobs quickly and become proficient in each.

    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend or stoop frequently, and lift up to 50 lbs.

    • Good hand-eye coordination; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    • Must be able to wear safety-toed shoes at all times (required).

    • Ability to work overtime and on Saturdays as needed.
