Describe day-to-day activities:- Creates the content for the digital parts catalog for dealerships. Take engineering data, dissect into consumable level for the dealership for service parts.
- Creates a catalog to direct them to the part number that the dealership will need.
Structure/Size of Team and where this position fits in. Who do they interface with?- Very multifaceted job engineer, plant people, supply chain, purchasing, they are in the middle of it all
- Very technical but not engineering, someone who comes from a parts arena, service manager,
- Fast 2000 proprietary system, extracts data from BOM system, they work it digitally within the system and is published through info media which is the digital part.
- Work through CAD Space Vertex they don t create the image, but they will work with it, they have an illustrator onsite that does
- Interacting with CAD, but not creating or modifying work is assigned by commodity
- Subset within group body sheet metal, engine, transmission brakes, steering electrical

Automotive knowledge isn t a requirement but demonstrated understanding of how mechanical systems are assembled is preferred. Example, experience with agriculture machinery or appliance components would be more transferrable than experience in automotive sales. PPE (Parts Planning and Establishment) has a pretty niche role within Aftersales.
As a member of the NNA Aftersales Parts Planning and Establishment team, the analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining a commodity-based subset of catalog data for *** and Infiniti models manufactured in the NNA region.
It is required to analyze and interpret technical and engineering data to establish accurate and reasonable service levels of parts offered for the repair of the vehicle. This includes utilization of CAD software for validation of part design as well as catalog section illustration layouts.
Cross collaborative communication is required with R&D engineering (local and abroad), supply chain management, purchasing, and pricing as well directly with suppliers.
Job Summary:
As a member of the NNA Aftersales Parts Planning and Establishment team, the analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining a commodity-based subset of catalog data for *** and Infiniti models manufactured in the NNA region.
It is required to analyze and interpret technical and engineering data to establish accurate and reasonable service levels of parts offered for the repair of the vehicle. This includes utilization of CAD software for validation of part design as well as catalog section illustration layouts.

Job Responsibilities:- Reviews new model service parts and ongoing engineering running changes for establishment in the catalog compilation system. Consults *** standards, design engineer, technical publications, field quality, manufacturing and other groups to decide optimal service level.
- Interprets CAD data, references photos, Companies standards and knowledge of dealer operations to optimize illustration layout to develop catalog parts illustration markups which facilitates parts identification by dealers.
- Investigates and resolves customer technical inquiries received from DPIC, parts distribution centers, Companies affiliates, export countries and other parts customers. Problems include missing or incorrect catalog data, incorrect stock, interpretation of data, etc. Investigates by confirming engineering data, CAD data, technical application and drawings, photographs etc. Provides quick, clear and concise actionable resolution to requestor.
- Maintains NNA NMPS as necessary for parts registration. Applies correct coding for parts restriction, supersessions and service files. Determines part supersessions and service files by interpreting engineering data and conducting additional research as needed. Considers and balances business impact and customer impact when determining part supersessions.
1. Job Knowledge and Skills:- Knowledge of a national supply and distribution process and functional knowledge of automotive service parts.
- Comprehensive understanding of the US automotive aftersales market from a business and customer perspective.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other technical experts regarding the sale and marketing of service parts and related products.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving ability. Understands the scope and depth of research necessary to clearly define the root cause of the concern and develop multiple solution options using available tools. Ability to compile and analyze a variety of conflicting information about technical products and exercise discretion to determine the most appropriate methods of compiling, coding and selling.
2. Years of Experience:- Two years of related experience at a professional level working in sales, marketing or service of automotive parts.
3. Education- A related degree from a four-year college is desired and candidates with a degree will be given preference. In lieu of degree, relevant professional experience, in-progress coursework and/or certifications may be considered.
4. Specific Course/Certifications- Working knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, CAD software (view only), other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products.
5. Travel Required:- Travel: Occasional day or overnight travel as necessary may be required.
