We are seeking a Services Manager to join our team. The Services Manager is responsible for providing the necessary services and management control over planning, organization, direction, and coordination of special projects in a manner that supports the profit and growth objectives of the company.
Directs, schedules, estimates, and coordinates daily activities of service department, resources, and staff to support special construction projects.
Develops policies, Methods of Procedure (MOP), quality standards, service contracts, and guidelines.
Monitors productivity and service response times to meet or exceed client expectations.
Responsible for setting the strategic vision of the department, which includes identifying market/customer strategies, setting the departmentÕs annual budget, developing cost saving initiatives, and clearly communicating future resource needs.
Audits special projectsÕ parameters, specifications, service or resource requests ensuring completion and approvals of all project stages, checklists, and contracts.
Ensures that all work is being performed in strict accordance with DPE safety and QA/QC protocols.
Collaborates with operations to develop comprehensive plan of the use and inventory of services and resources.
Collaborates with marketing department to ensure proper exposure of department on social media and advertising.
Develops and maintains strong relationships with external customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies to meet service quality standards and contribute to public relations.
Manages and mentors team members in assessing skills and expertise to match workforce capabilities with project requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related discipline.
Five (5) years of experience in scheduling and delivering services, resource allocation, or a similar role within the electrical contracting or construction industry.
Preferred:
Knowledge of electrical contracting processes and workforce management best practices.
Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
OR an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience that results in the successful performance of the job. Additional education may substitute for required experience on one-for-one year basis or vice versa.
Knowledge of electrical construction processes, industry codes, regulations, and best practices.
Knowledge of project management methodologies, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Knowledge of service contracts, external vendor oprations and oversight.
Skill in managing multiple service projects across diverse sectors.
Skill in reviewing contracts, purchase orders, and submittals with attention to detail.
Skill in advanced Microsoft Office Suite applications for project documentation and reporting.
Ability to make decisive and informed decisions under pressure.
Ability to foster strong relationships with teams, subcontractors, and clients through effective communication.
Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
Ability to continuously assess and improve project management workflows.
Light work environment. General office settings with limited exposure to light physical and occasional uncomfortable environmental conditions. Work may require lifting up to 25 pounds; occasional exposure to light, noise, dust, time pressure, etc.
