    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The service manager is responsible for the customer sensitive, efficient, and profitable operation of the dealership’s service department. He/she carries out this responsibility by building customer relationships, operating the department at maximum production, creating a good work environment, and properly managing the assets of the department.

    • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all service staff.
    • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
    • Ensure full compliance with manufacturer policies, warranties, procedures and guidelines.
    • Ensure exemplary customer service levels are executed and maintained in a timely and consistent manner commensurate with CSI standards.
    • Conduct meetings with department employees to discuss activities and issues of mutual interest.
    • Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments.
    • Ensure that all the necessary shop equipment is in proper and safe working condition.
    • Schedule training as necessary to properly repair and service and to satisfy the training standards of the manufacturer

    QUALIFICATIONS: At a minimum, the Service Manager should have the following qualifications

    • Excellent communication, supervisory, and managerial skills.
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.
    • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
    • Minimum 2 years dealership experience
    • Customer relation skills
    • A team leader who is focused on exemplary customer service.
