We are seeking a qualified individual to manager a Heavy Equipment Shop in Kent, WA. The Service Manager will supervise a team of 30 personnel including shop and field service technicians, parts runners and service advisors/writers. Will interact with all employees and other department managers, customers, and vendors. Managers with dealership experience will be considered an asset.<\/span>
<\/p>
Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span>
<\/p>- Oversee field and shop repairs including closing work orders.
<\/li> - Prepare bids and have oversight of quotes for repairs and maintenance work in a timely manner
<\/li> - Review and evaluate all work orders for accuracy
<\/li> - Negotiate and settle customer and internal service disputes
<\/li> - Control and evaluate department P & L, including capital expenditures
<\/li> - Interact with other department employees and promote a team environment
<\/li> - Handle all employee issues including hiring, mentoring, disciplinarian actions, and terminations
<\/li> - Monitor and schedule for technician training to stay current with technology
<\/li> - Assist with other duties as assigned and directed by the Branch Manager and Corporate Service Manager
<\/li><\/ul>Qualification<\/b><\/span>
<\/p>- Strong organizational and customer service skills
<\/li><\/ul>- Exceptional time management skills, and the ability to prioritize and complete all tasks required.
<\/li> - Should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience previously working in a management capacity in the heavy construction and mining equipment Industry.
<\/li> - Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
<\/li> - Must have strong customer service skills
<\/li> - Strong computer skills
<\/li><\/ul>Compensation:<\/b><\/span>
<\/p>
$80k - $110k/year, salary range depends on experience and qualification. <\/span>
<\/p>
